Was up at Idaho State and ran with the team. 8 miles. At first I'll admit I thought they were a bunch of chumps cuz they went their first mile at 7:30 and it looked like they were going to just keep that pace but next two miles were 6:45's and then the rest were 6 flat to 6:15. Faster then usual but didn't feel too hard. ISU XC team really knows how to party.
Bad run. My breathing was awful, like worse then it was my junior entire junior year. I only did 4 full hills plus I tried to do the fifth but I almost passed out which was quite the experience. Got to figure it out cuz even when I'm not running I can't even breath well. Cooled down a bit.
Went back to my launches because my kinvara's had no padding but they hurt my achilles still so I'm gonna get new shoes. Tempo run, 5 4 3 2 1. went .98, .81, .62, .44, .24. Good stuff. Felt much better from yesterday but still not too great.
Easy recovery run today. Alpine loop plus of course courtesy cones from artic circle on the way back. Also did weights which felt great! Plus the usual core and pushups.
Not too difficult but legs were a bit tired. Lehi dip, first part was pretty slow but we were knocking off low 6 minute pace at the end. Had pancakes after with some of the people who showed up.
