4 with everyone then 1 more with the returning guys.  Last 2 we started picking it up but before that we were going around 7:30-8:00 pace.

Also a poem for Gan and Tyler,

Ever since they met we knew they would date,
One might call it luck, but no doubt it is fate,
It may be a hike or may be a megaplex
Through all this, inevitably, Gyler will chex.

Good run, we picked it up a lot at the end for the last half mile. Then we did some abs and some Kim Jong Un which was splendid. Shoutout to Thom Gan Bill and Dalpal for being awesome and coming to the snow shack and giving me a plate of cookies.

Later at night did a mile race because it was the cedar hills fun run.  I won, Seth got second, some guy got third, then josh was 4th.  The guy that got third said "Wait, It's only been a mile? The website said it was a 5k?"  So he could have gone faster but oh well.  Good time!

3 easy miles then met at creekside for capture the flag.  Ran back to Legacy to grab some cones then back at a quick pace then got some quick stuff in the game. It was a good time!

Also shout out to Gan for her great poem, and also to Sami for filling out a survey for me, lol.

After went hiking with some friends so we hiked up to stewart falls.  Got 4 miles cuz we added some extra stuff.

First part was slower but then after 2 miles we kept it around 6:45 pace.  Got back from our run to see that one of the girls on our team, Olivia, had been hit by a car while crossing the road.  She was fine and it was just a minor crash.  A white car had stopped to let Olivia cross then she crossed but a car rammed into the white car and so it got hit forward into Olivia.  Then when we got back Kaleb decided to be a complete idiot and race back while everyone else just went an easy pace and nearly got hit by two cars while he just sprinted across the road. Pretty dumb.

So a very deserved unshoutout goes to Kaleb because of that.

Nice run, ended up picking it up sub 6 pace for about a mile.  Ran in my kinvaras, and they felt quite swell!

Unshoutout to me cuz my insta was hacked so sorry if you got all the annoying spam messages.

Good easy 5.08.  Talked to coach about his marathon and we are going to go run 6ish miles of it with him this saturday!  Also Cole Gray, a senior when I was a freshman came to practice today and that was cool!

Later basketball with Steven, Kaleb, Josh, Ryan, and I.

For mutual we went mountain biking which was a party, but we went up hills so slow that balancing was a struggle.  It was a good leg work out though.

Went slower at first keeping the group mostly together then the new guys split off at 2 miles so we went through lambert and up Corkscrew but it's all up hill so we turned around and went through Redford Run and then a couple other trails.  Didn't feel too good starting but eventually warmed up into the run.  Also last mile was a 5:31 lol, we got excited and it felt really good, it didn't even really hurt all that much.

Good stuff from everyone today.  Did just over 5 on our distance run, then did some abs and pushups and stuff then went and played capture the flag.  I got the flag the first game and the second game I was 2 feet from crossing when the other team finally crossed.  But the other team was like standing on the flag so it was impossible for so long to even touch the flag.  But whatever it was a good time!

Also got the CBC tonight so that is exciting!

Shout out to T-K-Norr for getting a blog even though it isn't approved yet.

So the CBC was lit! Went out cruising I think my first mile was like 4:44. (Guess not from what I saw on Connor's blog. Looks like a 4:52ish)  Then slowed a bit then last mile maintained.  Ethan Field and I worked together for most the race.  Josh Collin's was there so that was pretty cool! He won in 15:30 then Connor 15:31.  Also my watch had me at 3.26 miles for the race putting it at a 4:54 average pace so that was kind of cool.   It was fun with everyone there cheering and racing so shout out to all them.  And special shout out to THE CONNOR BALLER who organized this sick event!

Good day today. Went up to the utah valley marathon to run part of it with coach ryan. He was cruising but about 6 miles left he hit a wall and just died. He still ran a 2:47 so that was sick! It was a fun run! shout out to both coach ryan and coach Courtney for doing the marathon and killing it!

Later played basketball with some of the team, and some Lone Peak varsity were at the church where we were.  So we played against them.

Right after basketball went to a BBQ and then played water polo in the pool.  It was quite exhausting and quite a workout.

Relatively easy run.  Did Mountain run which I have missed doing.  Then did some pushups and planks then went to a church and balled.  Also getting excited for Ragnar which will be a fiesta!!!

And if anyone wants to come hike tomorrow Spencer Trevor and I and maybe some other people are going so let me know if you want to.

Quality day today!  Picked up the usual crew and headed to practice but then drove over to Lehi's practice cuz we were gonna have a ragnar team meeting but I got switched out of the van to the other van.  So now I'm leg 3, which is much tougher so it won't be as fast but it should be a good time.  Did abs and hips which were freakin exhausting and then went straight home to grab some water and head out on a hike with Spencer Trevor and Seth.  Went up, got lost, ran a mile to find a turn around point then also did 6+ miles of hiking also getting lost.  We went up to Lake Pittsburg which was quite awesome but it was too cold to jump in.  Then got home for like 30 minutes then headed up to the RSL game with Austin Hinckley, Ryan Johnson, and Shawn Mills.  RSL won in a PK shoot out which was pretty sick!

Oh and also shout out to TKnorr and me for making a snowman on our hike, it's name is Winifred so if you see a snowman up by Lake Pittsburg know that we made it.

Quite the run today.  Ran middle spring and on the trail Trevor rolled his ankle pretty bad so we got off the trail and hit the road and I ran back to get a car.  We thought Trevor might have fractured it because he had done it multiple times before so I flew down and got a solid tempo in... lol and almost a new two mile PR. Split a 4:29 then 5:05.  So haha I ran a 9:34 on the road coming down.  Quite the tempo.

Good run but tiring because some of the xc guys went camping last night and making it back to practice was kind of rough but felt alright on the run.  A couple of the miles were sub 6:30 but in general a pretty calm run.  Really excited for Ragnar tomorrow!

Shout out to our team captain Jacob for throwing a pasta party!  Right now I feel like I'm in the best shape I've ever been so I'm pretty stoked.  I also have a 2 mile down hill leg so I'm going for sub 9 on that.  It will be great!

Race 1. It was blazing hot and took off too fast. Went 5:11 for first then went 2 more sub 6's then 6:01 and then just slowed a bit from there. Heat killed me and it was all flat til the end then it was up hill. It was long and hot so it was rough. I pitifully made it up the hill and then kicked it in to Bill. Shout out to the lehi alumni squad for being such a dope team! 7 kills.

Later in the coolness of night I ran my second leg, 2 miles downhill for the most part.  I decided I was going to push it hard on this leg and I went crazy.  I hit 4:22 for the first mile and then went 4:24 for the second then the last .01 was 3 seconds.  It was really fun doing that.  I got to the exchange zone 5-10 minutes before the van did because they had to go through a detour.  It was quite the exciting leg! 11 kills.

Started at like 5:30 in the morning and it was quite cold so I had to have a jacket and the reflective vest junk. First 3.5 miles got 38 kills then got one more at 3.75 then I didn't see anyone until 5.8 miles in. That was a rough stretch. Finally saw someone and pushed harder up to them and from then on I could generally see runners up ahead and I would just go catch them. Last 3 miles went by super fast and felt great. First 3 were also great but the middle 3 were a struggle. 64 kills.  Shout out to my awesome teammates especially my van who were super lit and special shout out to McKinley (even though she doesn't have a blog) because it was the greatest thing seeing her all caffinated up before her run.  I had the greatest team ever and had so much fun!  Super great time!

Later did 3 easy with Connor and a barefoot mile which was quite nice.  Also took an ice bath after which felt heavenly.

Super great run.  My body was a tired from Ragnar but it was a great time!  Did Mountain run and added in Hobbit Hole at the end.  Then did some strength training.

Later after lunch biked down to Skyridge to check out how nice the track was and did a mile on that.  The track is so nice so the Skyridge kids are super lucky for getting such a nice track.  Went on Murdock Canal out and got 7.89 miles then stayed on the roads back and got 6.68 miles.

Body was wrecked but finished up fine.  First 4 were quite tough but then it felt more comfortable after.

Shout out to Collin who hooked me up with an interview for Utah Run.

Later went and ran with Connor Asa and Brady.  Felt pretty nice.  Then played a couple hours of basketball and I was exhausted after.  But a good time none the less.  Also Luke Johnston from Westlake came which was sick!  He can dunk it so that's pretty cool!

Holy cow, such a hard run.  Got 10.45 yesterday plus basketball so my body was just way tired.  Did Charlie Brown then looped back from 4 mile loop then did 1.25 miles barefoot at creekside and then just ran back.  Was supposed to go 8 but legs and body wasn't feeling it today.  Maybe will do more later.

Went and ran with Skyridge today while Craik said he would take care of the new guys back at our own practice.  Did a mile warmup, drills, then headed out with Big T, Thom, Michael, and Seth.  Then everyone but Seth Thom and I turned back at 1.5 out.  Then Seth and I headed back at 4 miles out and headed back on the trail but Thom looped around and met us on the trail.  Then went back and stretched and did a tiny bit of planking but nothing much cuz yesterday Ellie said that the girls on our team have better abs and biceps than the guys so we are having a plank off tomorrow and then a push up competition the next day.  Then hopped in the SOLW which is a super sick ice bathing spot!  Good run overall.

Unshout out to Asa who didn't show up but shout out to the Skyridge squad for a sick practice!

Later in the night my legs were feeling excellent so I went and ran 2.53, just a short easy loop.

Pretty great run again.  We did the make-out couch run which is an excellent hilly trail run.  First half was pretty slow because of the hills but after we were going a good pace down.  also barefoot on the grass plus strides! My legs felt really good so I'll probably go more tonight so if anyone wants to go running tonight let me know.

Shout out to Connor who won the AF Canyon 10k!

Also everyone wish Dominic and Emily luck in the USATF Junior Nationals.  They both are competing in the 400!

New addition to my original blog post, Unshout out to Gan who deleted her comment... Smh.

Later at night Connor, Spencer and I met at Lehi and ran down to the rodeo, then to Asa's house where we stopped and got a drink, so shout out to Mama Nielson for being super nice!  Then looped back to the highschool.  Got 4.17 doing that then got 1.43 more with barefoot on the turf.  Then went and took an ice bath at the SOLW ™ (by connor) for a solid 17 minutes.  Felt really good this week!

Realized that I was .01 miles from 60 this week so just ran over to my pasta, ate a bite, then ran back and I'm counting that as .01 miles.

Tough run because my hamstrings and back were really tight.  Stretched them out in the middle of the run and then after.  We did the first part of Hogs, then looped over to Suncrest and then part of black trail and back.  Also Seth and I diagnosed Craik and Kaleb with a new found illness, PTPS (Pushing The Pace Syndrome).  It is very common in distance runners so I would recommend checking with your doctor to see if you suffer from PTPS or are at risk.

Ran over by coach's house, dropped him off then did black trail plus a little extention.  My IT Band was causing me problems today but I think it is just a day thing and should be better tomorrow.  We iced after next to creekside park in the little river that flows through it.

Also tomorrow we are doing the Wall so if anyone wants to come do it with us they should!

Good run.  First 5 steps and my hips was exploding with pain and I was about to stop running but after that my hip stopped hurting.  It was tight but not painful.  Went down to Cedar Hills then on the golf course trail up and did backwards Mountain Run.  Didn't do the wall because coach came with us and said he wasn't feeling too good.

Shout out to Utah Run cuz I got hired and also to Russell because he brought by some bread from The Harvest last night.  And shout out to Tyler cuz I get to work with him at the snow shack tonight.

Headed up first part of middle spring then turned around and looped around Lambert.  Was supposed to go 8 but my legs have been feeling a bit tired but I may go a couple more sometime later tonight.  Also Clayson came to practice, he has the school record for the 1600 and just got back from his mission.
