Well crazy day.  Warmed up then headed back got spikes and got lined up.  I was 7th.  Gun went, race started.  I started out hard but not hard enough cuz I got trapped at the back so the entire first 2 laps I was fighting to just get up and get moving.  Splits show it.  Then with 800 left I went for it, being in 6th place and last lap Tracen passed me even though we were gaining on Patrick from AF and Dallin from Viewmont but they beat me and I got 7th.  Bummer, no medal, .34 seconds off of our school record.  But I'm not complaining because 1. I got a big PR, my first one of the mile this season, 2. It was a lot of fun and I felt pretty great doing it. 3. I got trapped so I know if I could have split better I could have run better.  4. It was a lot of fun negative splitting.  Official splits are 65.58 then 66.81 then 63.89 then 60.30.  So haha, a good negative split race.  Happy with how the season has turned out even though I didn't reach all my goals but at least I have had what I would say is a significant improvement.

Also shout out to Eugene because I finally met him and he did the cool down with us.  He's a cool guy.
