Today was a small run because most of the guys are racing today or tomorrow.  We ran down and did the trampoline run and found a weird ball so we stopped to play a weird version of basketball with a ball similar to a golf ball.  It was really fun. 

At the tri meet today I wasn't doing anything because my coach wanted me rested so I decided to mess around and do the long jump.  But then after my coach came over and asked if I was sure I wanted to do it.  I had already done it so she was mad.  But oh well.  I did a 13'7" which is awful but I didn't know anything and it is the first time I ever did it.

Did a short run of 35 minutes today because I'm racing tomorrow.  Did a few strides afterword but my nose had started bleeding on the run which was really annoying.  I ran with Jacob Jensen since everyone else was at the meet or sick or busy.  It was a good run.  I may not make my goal of 50 miles this week because my coach had me slacking on the miles because of the race.  But I'll do a decent amount tomorrow and on saturday.

Today at the Alpha Invite I ran the mile and the 800.  I was really worried when I got there because my chest had been hurting when I breathed and it felt like a sickness.  I think that the anxiety before racing got it out of me cuz I felt great during and after the race.  During the mile I felt really good but got boxed in on the first 1 and a half laps so I couldn't speed up as much as I wanted.  I still came across the 800 mark at 2:12 which is qualifying pace.  I then went out to lead the pack of people (everyone except Mckay Johns who was about 40-50 meters ahead of everyone).  I ran the rest of the race alone without people really coming from behind and Mckay too far out infront. 

For the 800 I was put in the fast heat with a seed time of 2:02 when my PR was high 2:06.  I ran it after feeling tired from the mile and I ran about a 2:02 which made me really happy.  I was glad but in the race I could feel my legs locking and not being able to move much faster because I was so exhausted.  It was a good race though and I got I think 10th overall.  It was fun stuff.

Josh and I did mountain run today in between sessions of conference.  It was good.  I was sore from racing but it felt good to get out and run.  In General conference I'm learning a lot and am excited for more.  I love and could use all of their inspired messages (especially ones about being humble since I kinda forgot yesterday cuz I was so happy about PRing)

Had a good run from legacy today.  We went to steven's house but he wasn't up so we then went on a new part but we found out it was government property so while we were leaving some guy came up to us and told us that we had to leave.  We left and then got on the mountain run backwards.  We did that and Lil' Warner and I did the mountain run in 11 minutes.  We then went down through the trail to lambert and turned at the church.  We then went back to the park.  It was a good run.

So I woke up  to go to practice but I felt really sick so I didn't go.  I got up and tried to walk but I barely could.  I threw up 3 times and I took a shower.  Afterwords I was laying on my couch when the door knocked and it was some of the people  who had gone to practice.  It was Russell Steven Autumn and Ellie.  I talked to them for 25ish minutes then they left.  I was standing when I was talking to them so I got really tired. 

I've been feeling better as the day has been going on so I may try to go run 2-4 miles today.

I'm still recovering from my sickness from yesterday.  My stomach still hurts but I'm not as weak.  I didn't go to practice because I knew I wouldn't be able to keep up with the team.  I went at 10:00 and I felt really sluggish to start.  I did the 3.6 miles in just over 25 minutes.  The cold made it much easier to run in so I ended up going at just over a 7:00 pace.  It felt good to go run after yesterday being so sick.

Went to practice today despite still not feeling 100%.  I ran for 2.42 miles with the team then I turned around.  It took me 34 minutes to do the 5 miles so slightly quicker than 7 minute pace.  It was supposed to be a fast distance run today but I am still recovering from my sickness.  Tomorrow we have a workout and I'll try to do that.

Today we were supposed to do 5x800 at mile pace but since I've been sick I wasn't expecting to go that fast.  We did the first one and the top group which was lil warner and me came through at 2:20.  It was rough.  The next one I maintained but Lil' Warner got 2:30ish.  Same thing on the next 2.  Then our coach Katie saw we were all struggling so she had us split the last 800 into 2x400's.  We were supposed to hit them at 66-68 pace.  I hit 67 and 67 so I was happy with that.  The workout was really hard since I was just barely sick but I am recovering pretty quickly.

We were going to do hogs but none of us felt like it.  So we went up to sliding rock through a back trail.  Then I was done running and just was going to go back cuz I was wiped out from yesterday's workout.  But Little Warner said that it was about the same this other way back so I followed but then he "forgot to make a turn" and so we went way farther than I wanted.  I was feeling a lot worse than I had been so it was really hard.

Shout out to Connorballer for his outstanding time yesterday in the 2 mile and also a great time for the 800.

We warmed up for 10-12x400's.  I did a decent warmup since the rest of the team was waiting for Jamison to get his classes scheduled.  Then we went out on the track and started. I felt great on the first 5 cuz I hit 65 65 64 64 63  then I started dying because I could feel my sickness coming back up.  Then I hit 66 67 68 70 73. Then coach said I could be done since I was struggling so much.  So I did ten total while Lil' Warner and Jamison did 11.  I felt awful but oh well.  Justin ended up puking afterwards so that was a party for him.  I thought I was but I think I got all of my puking out last week. We did the golf course for our cool down.

We had a good old modest run today.  I was awarded the most outstanding modest runner of the century or something like that by Lil' Warner cuz I escaped from a tight group.  It was a lot of fun.  I felt really sluggish at first but after the first game I was feeling a lot better.  After we did the golf course.

Today we ran to the stop sign by art dye and back.  It was about 4.5 miles.  It was a good time. After we did some strides. I am feeling a lot stronger than I have since I have been sick so I'm really excited about the race tomorrow. I am hoping to qualify for the mile which I think I can.

Today we had the Utah Country Invitational.  It was good.  I raced the 1600.  I was right on pace for state qualifying through the first 2 laps but then the third lap I slowed down.  I still had energy left on the 4th lap so I started going but then on the back stretch the wind had just picked up so I lost tons of time.  After I got through that back stretch I was destroyed but was able to push through and get 5th and run 4:27.  It was a good time.

We did a solid cool down afterwards.

I was in the Medley today. I ran the 800 for it.  It was rough.  My team gave me a great lead but that made me lead the race.  I was in first until the final 100 when Casey from AF came and outkicked me.  He ran an insane time of about 1:55. I definitely could have pushed harder but I didn't go for it on the last 100. I should have tried more but my team still ran a 3:37 and qualified for state.  So that was good.

I did another good cool down after that. I was mad about not pushing it hard and winning so it was a pretty good speed of a cool down.  It was fun racing and my coach said that he was going to put me in the mile at the Davis Invitational next week and I'm going to qualify there.

Shout out to Connor from Lehi for qualifying in the 3200 today.

Shout out to Galen because he did amazing and got a PR in the 3200.

We had a good run today. We did boneville.  It was a good time.  On the way up I was feeling really slow and I have no idea of the pace. But on the way back I was flying.  I was really mad about my race on Saturday how I let Casey out kick me at the end so I started going really fast. I felt like I was flying.  It felt so good.  I stopped for 1 minute to recover on the way back and to get a drink. I got back at 1:28 and lil warner said that it was 1:05 when I turned around. So I came back in 22-23 minutes and it felt so good. I am hoping to pound the mile and 2 mile and 4x800 at davis.  It'll be a good time.

We did a 200 400 600 800 1200 400 400. We were supposed to go 30, 64-66, 1:39, 2:12-2:14, 3:36, 65,65. I ended up doing the first 4 intervals on pace but then I died. I ran a 3:50 for the 1200 then a 69 for the 400 then ryan had me drop out. I have been struggling with all the stuff since I have been sick and haven't been able to keep a good constant pace through the work outs.

Did the mountain run today for a good distance run. We did it pretty quickly, especially the last 2 miles.  They were fun. At two miles left we sped up a little and kept getting faster and faster. We did the last 2 miles in 11 minutes. The last mile was at about 5:10 pace. It was a good time.

So we had a work out for after school but josh christensen called me to see if I could come help set some things up for prom so I said I would. I got there and helped with some of the stuff. Then after we finished when I was about to leave my coach called me and asked where I was. Then I told him and he told me that if girls were becoming more important than track I should reorganize my life. He was joking but it was kinda funny. Then he talked to my date and said that it was all her fault.  She is also a runner. I came back and did the workout but I didn't get much of a cool down in because I had to go ref some soccer games. the work out was 400 300 200 400 300 200 400 300 200. It was good.

We had the davis race today and I was really nervous cuz prom had made me really tired. So I went up there and I didn't feel good until after the race had started. I got really excited and the awful feeling in my legs and stomach went away. I was in last place for the entire first lap. Then I was in last place for most of the second lap. I came across at 65 the first lap then 2:11 for the second. I knew the third lap was my weakest point so I pushed it hard and moved up a lot of people. I ran a 66 putting me at a 3:17. Then I knew I needed to go if I wanted to qualify so I put on a little bit of speed with 400 left and then even more at each of the 100 meter marks. It was a good time. Official time of 4:20.41

We also did a 4x800 team but we were all tired and it was windy and wet so it was slow. We got 4th and got 8:44. I ran 2:07.

Today we (the sophomores) went up onto bonneville and decided to go up the mountain. We saw some rock outcroppings so we went there. We hiked/ran up there. It was super steep so it wasn't possible to run up all of it but we ran a decent amount of it. It was tiring. We went a little further than the rocks and went to a lone pine tree that was up there. It was a good time. Going down wasn't as fun cuz it was painful on my knees but not too bad. Up hill is much better than down hill.

We had a good workout today. We did 400 300 400 300 400 300 400 300 400 400. I did good until the last one. I hit 63 46 62 45 62 46 63 46 62 68. In workouts I always struggle with the last one. I do fine in races but in workouts I just can't do them. So I have to work on that. But I'll figure it out and get it all good. But it was a good fast workout. I'm really excited for BYU cuz I'm going to go for the school record in the 800 meters. I just need to run two 59's which I think I can do on a fast track as long it is nice weather. It should be a good time. I also am running the 3200 and I'm in the seeded heat of the mile. I'm not going to go that well cuz the 800 always takes it out of me but oh well. It should be a good time. Hopefully Galen and Lil Warner and Jamison can qualify then.

Had a good time today. We ran down by AF and did a short little loop over there. Then we came back. My friends had asked me to pace them for the mile today at our duel meet cuz they wanted to break 5.  They said they wanted me to hit 73 74 74 and then my coach said I had to drop out at that time. I was the leader for the first 2 laps but then my brother came and passed me on the third lap. I hit the laps perfectly at 73, 2:27, and 3:41. (I just put in the time of my friend who ran in it that I was pacing.)  So it was a good time. I did a little warm up and cool down with them so I got some more mileage then the rest of the guys. It was super fun to run in a duel meet again. I ran in my trainers with my old soccer jersey and my soccer shorts. It was a lot of fun.

We ran and did the tramp run today. Then we stopped to play some whongetball. It was a good time. Then we came back and did some strides. I'm ready for BYU tomorrow and I'm going to go crush the 2 mile. I'm hoping to get 9:25ish. so just under 71 seconds per lap. It should be a good time. The next day won't be quite as good because I am racing the 800 and then I'm racing in the seeded mile. I'm going to die in the mile cuz the 800 is gonna kill me but it should be kinda fun running with all those fast dudes even if I finish 30 seconds behind them.
